Stacks was started in Chicago, IL by founder Matthew Kaiser as a personal research project. While in between jobs, Kaiser wanted to learn how to trade stocks to earn extra income. Early in his research, he was quickly overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information available on how and where to invest.

Kaiser was struck at how many brokerage platforms didn’t do more to help encourage accessibility for personal, self-guided investing. Building on this initial concept, Stacks was born to help address the information gap between the roughly half of Americans who invested in the stock market in the last 10 years, and those that did not.

Stacks Financial LLC is based in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago. Our application platform build is currently in progress with a tentative beta release date in 2020.
